Violette Learning Company specializes in developing interactive speech therapy software programs for children. Our speech therapy programs are based on proven instructional design concepts and principles from the behavioral and cognitive sciences. These sciences have shown that learning is largely dependent on a child's willingness to learn in addition to his or her ability to learn. Our speech therapy programs increase a child's willingness to learn through the use of highly interactive, engaging and fun speech therapy games. Employing extremely high quality graphics, animations and sound is another means we use to stimulate and engage the children's interest in the process of learning. Our company's goal is to provide speech-language therapists, teachers and parents a highly effective, easy and fun means of assisting children in correcting their speech articulation and language problems.

Our products were written and designed by Robin Violette, M.A. CCC-SLP, a practicing speech-language pathologist with over sixteen years of experience working with children in public school and clinic settings. Robin has written numerous speech therapy articles and has been published in Advance magazine.

Robin Violette, Founder

Robin is founder and speech-language subject matter expert for the Violette Learning Company. Robin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston University and a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from California State University, Chico where she graduated with Honors in 1994. Since 1994 Robin has worked in a variety of speech-language positions primarily with children in public schools and private speech therapy clinics. In 2001 Robin joined the speech therapy team at Children's Hospital and Research Center at Oakland where she continues to provide direct speech therapy services to children.

Jon Violette, E-Learning Specialist

Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Industrial Technology from California State University, Chico. Jon went on to receive a Master of Science Degree from California State University, Chico in 1994. The focus of Jon's Masters Degree was in Computer Science and Instructional Design. Since 1994 Jon has worked as a computer-based and web-based training developer and project manager for a number of companies. These include Intel Corporation, Ford Motor Company, AT&T, and Oracle Corporation. Jon now devotes all of his time overseeing speech therapy software and speech therapy game development for the Violette Learning Company.
